A bookseller from Preston has turned to YouTube to share his passion for walking and reading.
Max Doughty aims to read his height in books every year, an impressive 6 foot 2 inches, and he is also aiming to walk the entire UK coastline.
To share his passions with the world, Max set up two YouTube accounts, one to review every book he reads, and one to document his walks.

With the coastline ever-changing, and different throughout the country, Max hopes to inspire others to enjoy the scenery nearby.
Max said: “I find it really relaxing to watch videos online of people out and about around the world in places I might not necessarily get the opportunity to visit anytime soon.
“Hopefully, the videos I put up will be enjoyed by somebody else, or at least inspire people that live here, to get outside and see something beautiful.”
When he isn’t walking the UK coastline, or working, Max works through his personal reading challenge and joins fellow readers in two book clubs.

Max Reads, is his online space where he reviews every book he reads. Last year he read an impressive 77 books.
When asked about what his favourite book is, he said: “I have a solid top 3, but if it was a life or death situation and I had to choose, it would have to be Embassytown by China Mieville.
“It’s a story about colonialism, media censorship, the power of language and poetry and metaphor and how much that can shake a society.
“It’s one I recommend to everybody and definitely isn’t as well known as it deserves to be.”
As a member of the Interstellar Book Club and an online fantasy book club, Max has plenty of books to share on his channel.
