Police appeal after two thefts at Cottam Co-Op

Police are investigating several burglaries involving the theft of alcohol and cash from a Co-Op shop in Cottam.

Around 1.05am on Saturday 29 January, a man entered the store and attempted to take cigarettes before leaving the scene on Merry Trees Lane in Cottam.

The same man returned a short time later, and alcohol was stolen.

Around 4.25am, a second man entered the store and stole cash and alcohol.

The latest burglaries follow an incident earlier this month where staff were threatened with a machete and hammer in an armed robbery.

Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting log 0260 of 29 January.
