A new private hire venue has opened in Winckley Square.
Advertisement23 Winckley Square launched in October in the building that has been home to restaurants run by award-winning and double Michelin-starred chef, Paul Heathcote, Heathcotes Brasserie and The Olive Press.
Paul, who lives in the Preston area, still owns the building and has converted the two restaurant spaces into one large venue for private hire, including weddings, celebrations, business functions, film and TV, and PR launches.
With three rooms available for one, all exclusive use, and inclusive price, the venue also includes a cocktail bar, kitchen, clay pizza oven, entertainment stage, small dressing room, and a private courtyard.
The whole venue has a capacity of up to 300 people.
A spokesperson for the venue said: “23 Winckley isn’t a vanilla hotel banqueting space or a faceless function hall; it’s special, different, quirky and original, allowing the client to make their event completely unique and like no other.”
While 23 Winckley can recommend local partners from caterers, mixologists, pop-up bars, and room dressers, to entertainers and photographers, customers can also bring in their own suppliers.
All events booked and paid for in January and February will have a second guaranteed date of the customer’s choice in 2023 at no extra cost, subject to availability. A discount scheme is also planned with nearby hotels, Winckley Square Hotel and No. 10 Preston.

The venue will be hosting a free wedding open evening on Thursday 13 January from 4pm, partnering with wedding specialists Little White Book.
The evening will have food provided by preferred catering partners Foray Catering run by two Masterchef: The Professionals finalists, as well as nibbles from nearby Fino Tapas, and drinks from Mobile Mixology.
