A loss of visitors and rising running costs have forced the British Commercial Vehicle Museum to cut winter opening hours and close the on-site cafe.
The change at the Leyland museum will start from the week commencing 24 January, with opening hours now Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 4.30pm, and staff will review the position in March 2022.

In a Facebook post yesterday (Sunday 23 January), a museum representative said: “We have made the hard decision to reduce our opening hours over the winter months.
“The Heritage Cafe will, unfortunately, close for the foreseeable future, and its last day of trading will be Sunday 23 January.”
