A Fulwood nursery that mysteriously closed in March 2020 will reopen this month following an eight-month revamp.
Parents and carers were left disgruntled after Ladyewell Nursery closed without explanation, with parents and carers saying they were owed money and had property locked inside the building.
Now under new ownership, the nursery, acquired in May 2021 by Evergreen Early Years, has undergone a refurbishment, with an expected reopening date of Saturday 29 January 2022, 11am to 1pm.

Nursery Manager Carmel Smith said: “We made a commitment to bring this amazing building back to life.
“We have spent the last eight months restoring and refurbishing the nursery, and it is now a stimulating and exciting environment for children aged 0 months to 4 years.
“We have faced various challenges restoring the building, but this has strengthened our ethos around the nursery development and created strong bonds between the local community and our team.”

Smith hopes that the nursery’s semi-rural setting will allow children to explore the natural environment that surrounds the building.
The staff look forward to opening their second nursery in Preston and will focus on ‘enriching’ the lives of the children who attend and providing opportunities to ‘laugh, learn, love, and grow’.
