More than 100 people lined Garstang Road in Fulwood to applaud the funeral procession of Prema Taylor.

Harris Park campaigner Prema Taylor died aged 62 earlier this month after a battle with cancer.

Prema, who was born in India in May 1959, was a much loved member of the Preston community and initiated the save Harris Park campaign.

Alongside this, she worked in charity shops, fund-raised for local charities and helped to organise activities in her neighbourhood.

Neighbours and friends all lined the streets today as Prema’s funeral procession took her past Harris Park one last time.

Charity donations in honour of Prema to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) are welcomed.
