Rachel said: “It feels like a such a positive start to 2022 to be able to send over this donation.

“We were blown away by the feedback from the book and how quickly we managed to sell all 500 copies. Lots of parents contacted us sharing photos of their children enjoying the book.

“A big thank you has to go to Sam Houston from Hungry Communications, who very kindly and generously covered our printing and designing costs to ensure that every penny we made was able to go to the charity.”

“We have lots of other characters on the drawing board including Don the Digger Who Doesn’t Like The Dirt and Listening Ears.”

Rachel is also in the process of writing a book for older children aged eight and up, called Beans on Toast Ben.

She said: “I’m really enjoying it, as it’s expanding my writing skills and pushing my imagination.”

Rachel and Helen are hoping to do another charity book in the future.
