Weather warning for ice in Preston and South Ribble

A yellow weather warning for ice is in place until 9am tomorrow (Tuesday 7 December) in Preston and South Ribble.

The Met Office says ice is likely to develop in places, leading to potentially hazardous conditions.

Showers this evening will gradually die out overnight, with wet surfaces predicted to fall below freezing quite quickly under clear skies.

As a result icy patches are expected on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths making accidents and injuries more likely.
