Preston Western Distributor works to see weekend closure of M55 in January

There will be diversions in place on the M55

There will be a full closure between junctions 1 and 3 on the M55 in both directions in 2022.

Starting from January 21, the planned closure will be in place until January 24.

The construction of the new junction is currently underway and the closure will be taking place to enable the demolition and removal of the bridge in a safe and controlled manner.

The closure will take place between junction 1 and junction 3 from 8pm on Friday, January 21 until 6am on Monday, January 24.

People will need to plan their journeys ahead of time using the diversions that can be seen in the pictures.
