Here for Humanity and Dunelm have worked together to ensure people have presents this Christmas

Preston’s Here for Humanity ‘Delivering Joy’ campaign has moved onto the next step.

Gift tags have been filled in and returned to Dunelm, and they have been added to the tree and been shopped for by customers.

Now, the gifts have been returned into the Dunelm Store and Here for Humanity have been to collect them.

Here for Humanity took to social media to say how thrilled they were with the donations and kindness.

Chris Murray said: “We have never been moved by such kindness before, it is beautiful to see that even in such uncertain times people can still be so generous and kind.

“We put in around 60 tags for families and although their has been a huge percent returned sadly the way the initiative works mean a gift is returned once a tag is picked, meaning tags can go unpicked.

“We would just like yo apologise to anyone who maybe will not receive the gift bag they hoped for, although we do have lots of extra gifts that we will be giving to the people who tag wasn’t returned.

“It is unbelievable the amount of gifts collected from Dunelm yesterday, their is around 50 bags with some bags containing as many as 6-10 gifts for the child .

“The biggest thank you to Dunelm Preston and Community Support customers who went out and took part in the initiative and of course to our contact at Dunelm Emma Wilson. You really do have the best customers.”

Lots of presents were collected

Anyone with gifts will be contacted directly to arrange collection or delivery, and Here for Humanity are reassuring people nobody will be left out.
