A concerned member of the public noticed the scene at 8.20pm near the Preston Playhouse, reporting that witnesses heard ‘what sounded like gunshots’ and saw a man lying in the road at the entrance to the car park.

The incident occurred soon after a Playhouse pantomime had ended, with the witness reporting people gathered around the man before the ambulance arrived five minutes later.
