Police have arrested a Preston man after a Ribbleton assault left a man in a serious condition in hospital.
Police attended a scene on Bowland Road around 5.25am yesterday (Tuesday 21 December), where a man had suffered head injuries and was unconscious.
Emergency services arrived, and a man in his 40s was taken to hospital, where he remains with life-threatening injuries.

Det Ch Insp Mike Gladwin of Lancashire Police said: “This was a nasty incident which has left a man in hospital with serious injuries.
“One man has since been arrested, but our investigation is very much ongoing to establish what happened.
“We are now asking anybody who saw the incident to get in touch as soon as possible.”

The 38-year-old man from Preston was arrested on suspicion of causing GBH with intent and remains in police custody.
An investigation is ongoing, and police are now appealing for information and CCTV.
