A local Rotary Club has organised a tree collection service to raise funds for local charities over the festive period.

Between 8 and 9 January, The Rotary Club of Longridge and North Preston will collect trees from residents across the Ribble Valley and North Preston.

This year’s nominated charity is North West Children’s Support Group.

The club has suggested a minimum donation of £10 per household (for up to two trees) but is grateful for larger donations.

Volunteers will collect trees from Longridge, Goosnargh, Grimsargh, Barton, Knowle Green, Cottam, Fulwood, Broughton, and Ribchester.
