Future of former Tithebarn pub ‘uncertain’

The future of the former Tithebarn pub is uncertain after plans were approved for a new Preston Youth Zone.

The proposed site for the Youth Zone is between Lord Street and Tithebarn Street, opposite Preston Bus Station.

Sitting on the corner of this patch of land, The Tithebarn has been empty since 2016 when it last closed its doors.

The building in Lord Street is owned by Preston City Council.

A spokesperson for the Council said: “The future of the pub site is uncertain as it is in a very poor structural condition.

“The council’s property team are currently considering future options”
