Fire crews put out cooker blaze in Fulwood

Two fire engines were called to a house in Fulwood at around 6pm on Saturday (18 December).

A cooker caught fire at the property in St Clares Avenue.

One casualty received first aid.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters used one hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus, one positive pressure ventilation unit, and one reciprocating saw to extinguish the fire.”

Crews were in attendance for almost two hours.
