A community choir has left people feeling festive after raising more than £1,000 for two charitable causes in Lancashire.
The Friends of All Hallows Community Choir held a Christmas Concert at St Teresa’s Parish Centre in Penwortham, in aid of sight loss charity Galloway’s and the charities supported by Preston South Rotary Club.

Charlotte Carnell, Events Coordinator at Galloway’s, said: “It is really special when the local community supports us and we are so grateful to The Friends of All Hallows Community Choir and Preston South Rotary Club for organising this wonderful event.
“We also want to thank everyone who attended and helped us raise such an amazing amount, which will help us continue to deliver vital services to blind and partially sighted people.”
Geoff Todhunter, from Preston South Rotary Club, said: “The choir was absolutely fabulous and it was so good to see everyone having fun, singing along to all the festive favourites and enjoying mulled wine and mince pies.
“As we focus on building our relationships with the local community, this event was a great opportunity to work with a fantastic charity and for us all to hear about the wonderful work they are doing to support people with sight loss.”
