A planning application has been submitted for a new children’s care home in Sharoe Green.
The plans would change the residential address of 296 Sharoe Green Lane to support the needs of the care home, which would include four bedrooms, an education hub, a gym and therapeutic space, and a chill out zone.
The applicants CFS Care Limited provide social care and support to vulnerable children and young people.
The care home would support a maximum of four children between the ages of eight and 18.
The planning statement says the house would be used in the same way as any home, with the children adding their own touch to the space.
Six jobs would be created, with a minimum of two staff on site for a night shift, and a maximum of six on site during the day.
