Woman posing as carer tries to enter elderly resident’s home in Preston’s College Court

Preston Police have warned residents to remain vigilant after a woman posing as a carer tried to gain entry into an elderly victim’s home.

The woman also appeared to try a key safe at the property in College Court – off Ripon Street, but fortunately, the victim did not allow her in.

The offender is described as an Asian female, 30-40 years of age, of a slim build and wearing a headscarf and dark coat.

Police issued an appeal for information, asking residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to 101 or 999 in an emergency.
