As well as serving and selling her home baking, which turned from a hobby into a business when Janet and husband Jim retired from farming just over a decade ago, Janet organised a raffle and had stalls selling craft gifts made by friends and Rosemere Cancer Foundation Christmas cards and gifts. There was also a bric-a-brac stall.
With the help of daughter Harriet Sharrock, she also sold cakes at Ribble Farm Fare in the run-up to the coffee morning and organised three Facebook cake raffles that contributed £310 to the final total. Janet and Harriet are now planning a Christmas Facebook cake raffle for Rosemere.
