On Tuesday, November 9 at the Flag Market in Preston there will be an event to raise awareness of sexual violence.

Using art, music, stalls and survivor stories and led by a cross-sector working group, all statutory and voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector organisations are invited to join this in-person event.

11am until 4 pm there will be a stalled event to raise awareness of sexual violence, inform survivors of the services and support available to them, and empower people by offering a space to share their stories.

There will also be an art unveiling from university students and survivors from across the county.

At 5pm until 6pm, there will be a moment of reflection and remembrance for survivors of sexual violence with spoken-word poetry. Attendees are encouraged to bring a torch or LED light and wear purple.

In addition to the main event above, buildings across Lancashire will be lit up in purple in support of the awareness week in solidarity with survivors.
