Harper’s Bazaar, the world’s longest-established luxury fashion, art and literary magazine, held its annual Women of the Year Awards on November 2 in partnership with Armani beauty.

Lubaina Himid from Preston received the Artist award for her powerful and socially-engaged body of work, created over four decades, culminating in a landmark solo show at Tate Modern this autumn.
Lubaina is a professor of contemporary art at the University of Central Lancashire.
Her art focuses on themes of cultural history and reclaiming identities.
