Man charged with Bamber Bridge assault and criminal damage

Police have arrested and charged a Bamber Bridge man wanted under Operation Hunter.

Simon Long, 41, from Southport, was wanted in connection with an assault in Bamber Bridge in September.

He was located and arrested last week on suspicion of assault, making threats to kill and criminal damage.

After consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Long was charged with criminal damage and remanded in custody.

Following Long’s arrest, the police have only two more suspects to find under the Operation Hunter most-wanted list.
