Leyland residents can share their views on the Town Deal project at a public consultation next week.
AdvertisementThe consultation will take place on Thursday 25 November at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum in Leyland between 5 and 7pm.
The project has now reached the design phase, and the initial proposals are ready to share with local businesses and residents. The public will offer thoughts on what aspects should be prioritised as part of the landmark investment.

Councillor Paul Foster, Town Deal Board Member and Leader of South Ribble Borough Council, said: “It is great to see the plans progressing to the design stage and see the ideas coming to life.
“I am so pleased that we are now able to gather the views of residents and businesses about what they feel our priorities should be when spending the money.
“I encourage everyone to come along to the events to have their say and get involved in developing a great future for Leyland town centre.”

Leyland has been awarded up to £25 million from the government following a successful funding bid.
Proposals for the scheme within the Town Deal include a Leyland Market upgrade, a new business and skills hub, town centre regeneration, new commercial premises and town centre living.
The consultation forms part of a series that allows people to see the proposed designs, speak to the design team and share their views on which aspects should be prioritised as part of the investment.

The consultation events will be a mix of public drop-ins and specific sessions for invited businesses and interest groups. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Architects Wilson Mason and landscape and public realm designers Lanpro will be on hand at the events to present their ideas and answer any questions.
Feedback will be in the form of a questionnaire that can be completed either at the events or online. The consultation will close on Friday 3 December.

For anyone unable to attend, the survey will be available on the website during the consultation period.
