Over 40 residents yesterday enjoyed a guided tour of Fulwood’s Masjid e Salaam mosque.
AdvertisementUpon arrival, the guest received a Qahwa, a warm, traditional Arabic coffee, and some dates.
The evening, organised by Light Foundation, consisted of short presentations on the mosque and the Islamic faith, Arabic calligraphy and a questions and answers session.

A Light Foundation spokesperson said: “On this winter’s evening, we were deeply honoured and blessed to have welcomed over 40 visitors.
“We welcomed men, women and children from different faiths and backgrounds for a visit and tour of the immensely beautiful Masjid-e-Salaam, a mosque known and characterised by its unique design and distinctive character.”
The attendees’ names were written in Arabic, and a gift bag was given to everyone who attended to thank them for accepting the invitation.
