Preston-based Community Gateway Association is hosting a free event at their Preston Docks HQ this Friday (26 November) to showcase the wide variety of support on offer to local people.Advertisement
The multi-agency event has been planned to tie in with the national 16 Days of Action campaign – a national campaign aiming to end domestic violence.
Joining Gateway staff on the day will be representatives from a range of organisations including The Police, Red Rose Recovery, Inspire, Preston Domestic Violence Service and The Mental Health Network.
Safeguarding Lead, Sharon Cowan-Stout said: “At Gateway, the safety and wellbeing of our customers and communities is paramount, which is why we are keen to offer safeguarding information and support including around county lines, domestic abuse, and mental health.
“The 16 Days of Action campaign shows that such serious issues can be experienced by anyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, profession or where they live, so we urge anyone needing support not to feel embarrassed to ask. There are a myriad of organisations on hand to help.”
To find out more, come along this Friday between 10am and 2pm at CGA’s offices, Harbour House, Port Way, Preston PR2 2DW.
No pre-booking is required. Everyone who goes along will be given a complimentary goodie bag full of useful resources.
