CancerHelp Preston is completing a trek to the North Pole which is 2,504 miles away.
AdvertisementOf course, they are not trekking to the North Pole itself, but are completing the miles locally.
There are 49 people on the team made up of Trustees, counsellors, employees, volunteers, service users and businesses who have supported CancerHelp Preston, and they are all ready to begin this epic challenge on Saturday 20 November.

The challenge runs from 20 November to the 20 December which means just over 80 miles a day between the group.
Every day those involved will do a minimum of 2 miles a day and record this.
Every week the total mileage will be combined, and how far has been travelled will be added up.
People will be doing longer dog walks, park runs, journeys on foot instead of in the car and various other activities in order to clock up the miles.
The youngest participant is 12, but anyone of any age can participate.
