Brockholes Visitor Centre closed temporarily after being vandalised

Brockholes Visitor Village is closed until further notice after vandals damaged it overnight (the evening of Monday 22 November).

The Brockholes Nature Reserve team say they are working hard to fix the damage.

They wrote on social media: “We will keep you updated when we know more.”

People flocked to support Brockholes online.

Carol Hartley wrote in the comments: “Sadly, there are far too many people that have absolutely no respect for anything. I really can’t understand why they’re like that.”

Karen Lesley Moss commented: “Why would anyone do such a thing? My grandchildren love Brockholes. Hope they’re caught and made to pay for their stupidity.”
