Police attended an unauthorised Halloween house party in the Worden area last night (Friday 29 October).
AdvertisementThe party had been thrown while the occupants’ parents were away on holiday and unaware. It had quickly got out of hand with around 30 youths attending from across the borough.
A spokesperson for South Ribble Police said: “Numerous youths dispersed into the nearby streets on seeing us but were tracked down by Officers and PCSOs.
“Many youths were underaged and therefore the alcohol in their possession was seized. Stop searches were also carried out on some individuals and drug paraphernalia located and seized.
“All the youths were sent home and the party shut down.
“We want you to enjoy the Halloween weekend responsibly but be mindful that the consequences of antisocial behaviour and criminality can have a lasting impact on a young person’s life and on those affected by their actions.”
