By promoting their services at the parkrun, they hope to increase public awareness of services so more people can access the mental health support they need.
It is important to normalise accessing support, and the promotion will coincide with World Mental Health day weekend.
Often, people feel like they are not ‘unwell enough’ to receive support, and therefore struggle alone.
Mindsmatter and First Step want to break that stigma and encourage anyone who is experiencing stress, anxiety or depression to come forward and see what treatment is available.
