BBC antiques expert David Harper has visited a group of Leyland retirees for the opening of a new community development.
David officially opened the latest McCarthy Stone Retirement Living Plus development in Leyland, Balshaw Court.
Joined by current homeowners and prospective buyers, David performed a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, kickstarting the celebrations at the development in Burlington Gardens.

Fiona Brooks, Divisional Sales and Marketing Director at McCarthy Stone, said: “We were absolutely delighted to be able to welcome David Harper to officially open our fabulous new development in Leyland.
“David is always a brilliant host, and our homeowners and visitors seemed to really enjoy hearing his knowledge and advice and all about his eclectic career.”
David also provided stories and a short presentation on his life and career, imparting his knowledge and advice to guests keen to chat to him about their own antique prized possessions and finds.

The development features 62 one and two-bedroom apartments for residents over 70, presenting homeowners with an opportunity to downsize and live in a community.
The site includes a bistro and a team of qualified staff.
