‘Frightening weapon’ seized from streets of Preston after tip off

The JJ Effect CIC has removed a machete from the streets of Preston thanks to a tip off.

The anti-knife crime organisation tweeted a photo of what it described as a ‘frightening weapon’, saying there’s ‘never a dull moment’ for the team.

Created by Byron Highton in memory of his brother Jon-Jo, who was murdered in Preston, The JJ Effect works tirelessly to raise awareness on the devastating impact that knives can have.

The tweet read: “Never a dull moment for The JJeffect CIC with another frightening weapon taken off the streets by our team. Huge respect to the people who stepped up & contacted our team this week.”
