Crews tackle commercial property fire in Ribbleton

Firefighters tackled a blaze at a commercial property in Ribbleton on Friday (8 October).


Two crews from Preston and Fulwood attended the fire in Blackpool Road at around 4pm.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival crews gained entry to the property and found a fire involving a fryer in the kitchen, which they put out using a dry powder extinguisher. They also used a fan to clear the property of smoke.

“Crews were in attendance around three hours.”
