A 12-year-old child has been caught racially abusing a Preston Police officer.

The incident happened on Friday (22 October) as Preston Neighbourhood Policing team and members from the Special Constabulary carried out an anti social behaviour operation in the city centre, including at the Bus Station.

A spokesperson for Preston Police said the child has since been identified and is being dealt with accordingly.

They added: “This type of conduct and anti social behaviour will not be tolerated. We endeavour to work closely with the public to identify offenders and hot spot areas.”
