South Ribble Council took to social media to announce they needed donations to support the rehousing of Afghan Refugees.
Working in partnership with Age Concern Central Lancashire Charity Shops the council are working to gather donations from the local community to help with our rehousing of Afghan refugees.
They are currently seeking donations to furnish houses such as kitchenware and cooking utensils, furniture for living rooms and bedrooms, small electrical items such as lamps and toasters.

If you have small items, you can take them to your nearest Age Concern.

For larger items, please contact Age Concern Central Lancashire on 01772 250773 or email collections@ageconcerncl.org.uk and they will arrange to collect the items from you and transfer it to the storage unit until required.
Please also note that any surplus items or items not required by the refugees will be sold via the Age Concern Central Lancashire shops and proceeds will be retained by them to support people in the Local area. If you are not happy with this then please let the charity know so they can make alternative arrangements.
