A planning application has been submitted for works to be done to Sir Tom Finney Community High School.
The changes include a new car park, lighting columns, 3m tall security fencing and re-formed mound.
The current use of the site proposed is a grassed area within the school in Ribbleton.

There are currently has 69 standard car parking spaces and seven disabled spaces at the school and another 30 will be added including three disabled spaces.
As well as this an existing grass mound will be partially re-formed as it impedes the eastern side of the proposed car park.
The existing 3m tall security fence running through the middle of the car parks location will be moved to the western boundary of the car park as well as being extended.

Also to comply with current regulations the new car park is to be illuminated via 8x 6m tall lighting columns.
The car park is to be formed with a tarmac finish and concrete kerbs to match the existing and white lining to set out car parking spaces and direction of travel arrows.
