Preston’s Light Foundation to resume monthly interfaith gatherings

Representatives of all faiths joined the meal at the Preston Quaker house

Preston’s Light Foundation will resume its interfaith gatherings on the first Thursday of each month.

Starting on Thursday 7 October, from 7.30pm to 9pm, residents of all faiths will gather at the Quakers Friends Meeting House to discuss the impact of Covid-19 on faith communities.

The organisers said the event is:

Open to all people from all faiths, and none, and from all backgrounds and ways of life
A non-judgmental forum for open and honest discussions based upon mutual respect
An opportunity to understand and get to know others perspectives, traditions and cultures
For discussion and ideas that unite and concern us as a community
For encouraging working together for the common good.

A Light Foundation spokesperson said: “We would like to invite everyone to join us for these popular gatherings discussing new topics each month.

“We will continue to build and strengthen ties between faith and non-faith communities whilst attempting to explore the meanings of life.”

The meeting will take place at Quakers Friends Meeting House, 189 St George’s Rd, Preston, PR1 6NB.
