Community Gateway Association’s (CGA) charitable subsidiary, Preston Vocational Centre (PVC) have been announced as a finalist in the 2021 BIBAs.
AdvertisementThe BIBAs are Lancashire’s most prestigious and longest running business awards programme, run by the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
The awards celebrate some of the most exciting companies and entrepreneurs based in Lancashire, showcasing their success stories and highlighting Lancashire’s position as a world-class business community.

PVC have been named as a finalist in the category of Education Establishment of the Year, with the winners being announced at a ceremony at The Blackpool Tower Ballroom on 17 September.
PVC are extremely proud to have made the shortlist following a robust judging process which included a detailed written submission, presentation and virtual interview.
Judges were impressed by the number of students that have benefitted from the Centre since it opened in 2009, with over 6,000 young people coming through the doors.
They were also impressed with the way the organisation responded to Covid-19 and continued to deliver vital services to students and the positive difference PVC make to transforming the lives of young people.

Callum, a PVC service user, said: “PVC has helped improved my chance of gaining a job and has given me the ambition to achieve.”
Martin Grayston, Centre Manager at PVC said: “We are so proud to be finalists for a BIBA’s award for the fourth year running and can’t wait for the awards evening.
“We couldn’t do what we do without the support of Community Gateway and our generous partners and supporters.”
