This morning (Friday 10 September) people waited in anticipation for the Wallace and Gromit bench to be unveiled.
AdvertisementBased on the cheese-loving inventor and his loyal companion as they appeared in The Wrong Trousers, the bench sculpture has been given pride of place outside Preston Markets, close to the entrance on Orchard Street.

The bench was unveiled to the media at 10am.

Then the bench was officially opened to the public at 11am.
