Man arrested after fire at Cuerden Valley visitor centre and café

South Ribble Police took to social media to inform the public that someone has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage – arson not endangering life, in connection with the fire at Cuerden Valley visitor centre and café.


The arrest was made following CCTV enquiries, and a 38-year-old man from Leyland has been arrested.

The fire was started in the early hours of yesterday morning (Monday 27 September).

Police said they will update when enquiries have progressed.
