A Lostock Hall mum is going from strength to strength with her innovative story-making business after winning gold in a prestigious toy awards.

The business has succeeded in the Independent Toy Awards 2021, an awards scheme that sees the likes of big brands such as Vtech, Leap Frog and Duplo compete for the coveted accolade.

Beth De Nobrega’s business is called Magical Story Jars.

She set it up in 2017 to help parents create fun and imaginative stories with their children.

Beth said: “All of the team at Magical Story Jars are ecstatic that our adventure themed story jar has won a gold award.

“Our jars help to create a carefree environment where parents and children can ignite their imaginations and create memorable stories.

“We are proud that the nation’s independent toy retailers have recognised this and chosen us to win a coveted gold in the Independent Toy Awards.”

The business has a range of themed story jars, including adventure, fairy tale and Christmas.

As well as the retail side of the business, Beth and her team also travel the country providing story making experiences for local councils, shopping centres and other businesses wanting to offer something different at their events.
