15 places in Preston and South Ribble have seen a decrease in Covid cases in the seven days leading up to 8 September

15 areas of Preston and South Ribble have seen a fall in coronavirus cases in the week leading up to 8 September.

Areas that have seen a decrease include St George’s, Farington and Brookfield and Holme Slack amongst others.

Figures are updated weekly by Public Health England in the government’s dashboard, with an interactive map of cases.

The latest data shows Preston’s Covid case rate per 100,000 over the last seven days is 323.3, an increase from previous data.

England’s rate stands as 332.2, an increase from previous data.
