Vacant flats to be changed into forensic crime scene rooms for UCLan students

A planning application has been submitted to turn vacant flats may be turned into forensic crime scene training rooms for UCLan.

The flats are in Adelphi Street, Harrington Street and St Peters Street.

24 flats will be used in total for the project which consists of 1076 sqm of floor space.

Previous to the application the flats would have been used for residential purposes.

The Crime Scene houses are used to train students to take part in simulated crime scenes, including simple scenes as well as more complicated major incident scenarios.

The agent for the application is Smith & Love Planning Consultants.
