Three arrests and five caravans seized as police clear traveller site at Ashton Park

Police have cleared all the travellers’ caravans from Ashton Park following reports of anti-social behaviour.

Five suspected stolen caravans were seized, and three individuals were arrested at the scene for theft offences.

Preston Neighbourhood Team took the action yesterday (Friday 13 August) with support from Preston City Council, Rural Crime Task Force, Stolen Vehicle Squad and Tac Ops.

Travellers have been seen in many of the city’s green spaces this summer, including Haslam Park, Ribbleton Park and Moor Park.
