A Preston Jiu-Jitsu club has agreed to a seven-year lease for new premises in the city.
AdvertisementBased at 130 Church Street, the fast-growing martial arts club Team Sukata specialises in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The club said it also helps adults and children to improve their physical health and mental wellbeing.
The club hopes to build on the success of its existing Chorley-based Alley Cat Academy Gym and expand its presence in Lancashire.
The new studio will enable Team Sukata to drive growth by meeting demand from new and existing members for more classes while also building partnerships with local charities.

Robert Jackson, head coach at Team Sukata Preston, said: “The new 1,600 sq ft studio space enables us to run classes every weekday evening and on weekends, introducing new innovative sessions such as family classes.
“We also have the ability to host much bigger groups, which is perfectly suited to linking up with local charities and social enterprises and introducing them to the physical and mental health benefits of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
“We worked with Forbes Solicitors as they took the time to fully understand what we need from a commercial property lease and studio space. Their client engagement is excellent, and they’ve helped us take a huge step forward in realising the growth potential and popularity of Team Sukata Preston.”
