A Preston housing group has received nominations for a prestigious national award.
The Tenant Participation and Advisory Service (TPAS) Awards 2021 shortlisted The Community Gateway Association (CGA) for outstanding customer engagement and best practices in the housing sector.
CGA, Prestonâs largest social housing landlord, is up for an award in two categories – Excellence in Employment and Skills and Outstanding Tenant Engagement (Under 10,000 homes) for their Gateway2Employment and Gateway2Engagement programmes.

Dave Yates, Chair of the Board and himself a tenant, said: “The Gateway model puts customers at the heart, with plenty of opportunities for people to air their views.
“The teams now have a greater presence in the heart of our communities. The TPAS awards celebrate all that is good in customer engagement, and I wish them all the best for the finals in October.”
CGA said the organisation listens and responds to feedback to ensure the association delivers the services people need.

They said they have increased their online presence and invested in methods to enable residents to get involved, whether through a five-minute survey or joining a committee.
