A planning application has been submitted to expand Whittingham and Goosnargh Sports And Social Club.
The proposed development includes new access, a new permanent car park, an overflow car park and temporary events space which will include electrical hook up points for caravans.
There will be 24 parking spaces in the car park.

These works are required to facilitate the ongoing operation of the Club in the short-term, when works on the housing scheme commence in a way which impacts upon the existing disused football pitch, western car park and Club access.
There will also be landscaping and boundary treatments including street trees and hedgerows, ornamental and specimen shrub planting, extra heavy standard tree planting, as well as a timber fence.
The agent for the application is Barton Willmore.
It is not yet known when the development plans will be discussed by the planning committee.
