The weather has been a little bit here, there and everywhere recently, but it looks like Prestonians need to prepare for downpours and thunder as we head into the weekend.
AdvertisementAugust looks set to be a bit of a wash-out, but we’re still hoping for some sunshine soon.
We’ve had changing yellow weather warnings from the Met Office this week, but here is what to expect over the weekend:
Thursday evening
5pm – It will be raining, but it will still be quite warm at 18 degrees
6pm – If you’re heading out this evening, take your umbrella, because it’ll be raining all night!
7pm – 17 degrees and more rain
8pm – Isn’t it meant to be summer? It’s still going to be 17 degrees with rain, and apparently a bit of sun
9pm – Sun, rain and thunder is on the cards!
10pm – Thunderstorms ahead now with rain
11pm – The thunderstorm is set to last now until around midnight
Friday
12am – Just raining now, you’ll probably be able to get some sleep!
1am – Just rain
2am – Cloudy now, but hopefully you’ll be well asleep anyway…
3am – Still cloudy
4am – It’s going to start raining again
5am – More rain
6am – Shock horror, it’s apparently going to be sunny! (And raining)
7am – We’re starting the day with sun and rain at 15 degrees
8am – More sun, but more rain
9am – Heading up to 16 degrees now, but it’s still going to be raining
10am – It’s the same story at 10am
11am – Heading up to 17 degrees now, but the rain hasn’t gone away (nor has the sun though, so thank goodness for small mercies)
12pm – 17 degrees with rain and sun
1pm – We do wish the rain would go away (and not come again another day) but it’s still 17 degrees with rain and sun
2pm – Rain, sun and 17 degrees
3pm – More of the same
4pm – Temperatures rise to 18 degrees but the rain is still persistent. It’s still set to be sunny though
5pm – Conditions say the same
6pm – Temperatures drop back to 17 and it’s still sunny and rainy
7pm – Conditions stay the same
8pm – And again. We can’t complain too much though, it is sort of set to be sunny all day…
9pm – Rainy and 16 degrees
10pm – Rainy and 15 degrees, so if you’re still out, we hope you’ve got your umbrella
11pm – Conditions stay the same
Saturday
12am – It’s still raining and 15 degrees
1am – Raining and 14 degrees
2am – Conditions remain the same
3am – Hurrah! The rain has stopped. It’s a shame most people will be tucked up in bed so won’t be able to appreciate it
4am – No rain still and it’s 14 degrees
5am – Oh dear…the rain has started. 14 degrees still
6am – Conditions staying the same
7am – ‘Why does it always rain on me?’ It’s raining and 14 degrees
8am – 15 degrees and rain
9am – 15 degrees, sun and rain (we’re praying the rain just doesn’t come though)
10am – 16 degrees, sun and rain
11am – Conditions stay the same
12pm – 17 degrees, sun and rain
1pm – Conditions staying the same
2pm – And again
3pm – And again
4pm – Oh dear…the sun has taken its hat off and it’s just raining now
5pm – Rain and 17 degrees
6pm – The sun is back out but it’s also raining…17 degrees
7pm – It’s sunny and rainy still
8pm – Sunny and rainy but 16 degres
9pm – Cloudy and raining with temperatures going down to 15 degrees
10pm – Conditions stay the same
11pm – And again
Sunday
12am – It’s set to be 14 degrees and raining
1am – Conditions are the same
2am – And again
3am – And again
4am – And again
5am – And again!
6am – Finally the sun is coming out, but it’s still raining and 14 degrees
7am – Conditions stay the same
8am – 15 degrees, sunny and raining
9am – Still 15 degrees, sunny and raining
10am – The sun has gone away and it’s still raining, but temperatures rise to 16 degrees
11am – Raining and 17 degrees
12pm – Raining and still 17 degrees
1pm – And again…
2pm – Still raining and 17 degrees
3pm – What a miserable day! The weather is staying the same
4pm – Probably not the best day for the beach…it’s raining and 18 degrees
5pm – And again
6pm – 17 degrees and rain
7pm – And again
8pm – Much of the same
9pm – 16 degrees and raining
10pm – 15 degrees and rain
11pm – Conditions are staying the same
We can only hope that the new week will bring sun (ideally without the rain) because we don’t really feel like we’ve had much of a Great British Summer in 2021!
