The Post Office is relocating Higher Walton Post Office to a new location.

The new Post Office location will be in Premier Store, 352 Higher Walton Road, Higher Walton, PR5 4HT, where it will operate as one of their Local style branches.

The current Postmaster has resigned after 29 years service to the community, and the branch at 14 Cann Bridge Street, Higher Walton, PR5 4DJ, will close on Thursday 19 August 2021 at 5.30pm.

A new operator has been appointed nearby, enabling us to reopen Higher Walton Post Office at their premises on Friday 20 August at 1pm.

The new operator will enable the Post Office to safeguard their services in the locality in the longer term and the relocation of Higher Walton Post Office will enable the Post Office to maintain a Post Office service to our customers in the local community.

The branch will have new opening hours, Monday – Friday: 9am – 6pm, and Saturday: 9am – 2pm. This offers 50 hours of Post Office service per week, over eight hours extra, for the convenience of customers.

Customers will access Post Office services at a low-screened, open-plan, modern serving point that is part of the retail counter.

Feedback will close on 17 September 2021. Customers can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 197427.

Submissions can also be made via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk, by post to Freepost YOUR COMMENTS, or by telephone 03452 66 01 15 or Textphone 03457 22 33 55.
