Tracy O’Reilly, Vice-Chair of Gregson Green, said: “We’re excited to be planning community events once again. We know it’s been a tough year for lots of people, uniting our community is what Gregson Green is all about.
“Our fundraising events were all halted due to the pandemic, so we hope this weekend’s event will be the start of many in 2021 and beyond.
“Funds raised at our events go towards the upkeep of Gregson Lane’s community centre, as well as a space used by local sports and recreational groups.”
Gregson Green’s ‘Community Get Together’ will take place on Gregson Lane Playing Fields in Hoghton on Sunday 29 August from 12pm to 5pm.
