A planning application to expand the Barton Manor Hotel, Garstang Road has been approved.
Plans include adding a front extension to the former Barton Grange Hotel.
The development would follow the demolition of a detached building.

Plans include a three-story extension to the front of existing hotel to provide new entrance/lobby, function room and 50 hotel rooms with external terrace, landscaping and alterations to the car park.
The proposed extension will be formed from 4 “cubes” spanning the front elevation.
One cube would be the primary entrance to the hotel complex, with the rest of the three cubes providing the additional hotel accommodation.

All nine members of the planning committee voted in favour of the development with conditions.
The conditions include a three year time limit.
